An East Boston man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly ransacked his mother’s apartment because he did not like the meal that she prepared for him, police said. Boston police said they responded to the home on Lexington Street shortly before 5 p.m. and discovered broken furniture throughout the woman’s apartment, as well as food “splattered all over the kitchen.’’ The woman told officers that her son became angry when she made a meal that was not to his liking, police said. Her son, Marcelino Valentin, 24, was arrested and charged with willful and malicious destruction of property.
